I’ve decided to get serious over the next three weeks. A fresh start. I know what my goals are and I know exactly what I need to do in order to accomplish them. Eating junk food and wallowing in buckets of ice cream and goblets of wine just isn’t going to cut it. How can I envy my friends with beautiful slim bodies running around our vacation apartment in tiny bikinis complimenting each other on how “cute” they all look? Why envy that when I could be one of them? But here’s the kicker, it’s May 2016. And I’ve been harping on about how I’m going to lose weight for over 10 years.
It’s been a roller coaster since then and frankly, I’m tired of it. Let’s get serious. Let’s commit this time. They say it takes two weeks to start a new habit and three weeks to stick to it. So I’m committing to 21 days of clean eating and healthy behaviors. And I’ve got all the tools I need to get started. I’m going to go on the 21 day fix extreme program for three weeks and track my diet and exercise here as I go on this weight loss journey. This will be a sort of online journal for me to keep track of my weight, starting stats and motivate myself and my readers to follow suit and start their own journey.
You can’t walk the walk if you don’t talk the talk. So let’s do this. Over the next 21 days, I’ll be eating between 1200-1500 calories and exercising 30 minutes a day. Some days if I have more energy, I’ll up it to 45 minutes or even 60 minutes, and trying to get in 10,000 steps a day as well.
I also plan on eating plenty of lean meats, vegetables, fruits, complex carbs and healthy fats to make sure I get all my food groups in. I’ll take my beginning measurements, and log exactly what I’m doing over the 21 days to see how the extreme beach body program works for me and if it really delivers all that it promises. Keep updated and subscribe to my newsletter to watch my progress and comment on how the program is working for you. Let’s do this!
